ChuCK's Words of Wisdom

If you thought you were, you might have actually been. Problem being, if you were unaware if you were while you were, then knowing that you were in fact really that way is a moot point. Unless you knew you were the whole time, then you would be an ego-bag.

Need gas? Bend over and take it...

i remember when everyone freaked out about 2 dollar gas and the gas stations had to make paper signs because they didn't have enough "2's" to go around for all the signs... ahhhhh the good 'ol days. well, back then they might not have been able to tell you the price, but they sure knew how to charge you for it. fast forward the clock a bit to the on coming 4 dollar a gallon gas... new problem. nope, they have plenty of "4's"... this time the damn pumps can't figure out how to calculate and display anything above $3.99... solution? set the pump for HALF gallon pricing. how much you want to bet there are lines with people thinking they are getting cheap gas... good thing we learned our lesson the last time this happened...

Some older gas pumps can't display a price above $3.99. So, Pennsylvania is joining other states in allowing gas stations with those older pumps to temporarily have the pump set to the price for half a gallon of gas, Gov. Ed Rendell's office announced Friday.

"Most retail fuel stations in Pennsylvania can display per-gallon prices over $4, but we will accommodate those that cannot, allowing business to continue and ensuring consumers get what they pay for," Rendell said in a statement.
The price on the pump is multiplied by two before the customer pays. The price of a full gallon has to be on the sign drivers see from the street.
